It started with a single picture. I had no idea when I first picked up a camera that it would change my life and start my lifelong passion. It began with one then I kept taking more and more. Seven years later I’ve photographed weddings, seniors, events, sports, wildlife, nature, landscapes, architecture, urban, portraits and abstract. It didn’t stop with photography; I found that I had a hunger for storytelling, so I found new and more intricate ways to tell them.
I’ve always wanted to use my gifts for the betterment of others; To be a woman for and with others. That conviction along with the other Jesuit values taught at Creighton, has been at my core for my whole life. I strive to do what I can to make a difference, to shine a light on the stories that matter, and to give a voice to those who deserve to be heard. My dream is to one day become a documentary filmmaker focusing on stories that spark conversation and inspire change.
I am currently a Master's student at the University of Nottingham, studying Film. I graduated from Creighton University with honors in December of 2018 receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism: News and Advertising with a minor in Graphic Design. I was also apart of the nationally recognized Creighton Volleyball team from 2015-2018.
I am currently a freelancer specializing in photography, video production, graphic design, and content development. I worked with Creighton's Athletic Marketing Department as a content developer from 2017-2019. I recently worked with the NCAA to cover the 2019 College World Series, producing content for their Instagram feed. I had two films entered in the 2019 Omaha Film Festival, my first time participating. In 2017 I had a summer internship with MediaSpark, where I worked as a social media content developer. I also worked an assistant volleyball coach for Premier Nebraska Volleyball from 2015-2019.
I love having my skills challenged – learning something new and being pushed outside my comfort zone is where I thrive. I’ve worked with four different businesses, all with entirely different content and messages, I’ve freelanced for almost five years to continue sharpening my skills, and I’ve brought that love for the challenge with me throughout college. In all these years I’ve been pushing myself and improving what I know in order to tell a better story.
